We are not stupid Americans, right? I heard this definitely top news item for today or for this year and it assumes we are all stupid. We are either rich or completely bankrupt. And Musk talks like a total idiot.
“Billionaire DOGE head Elon Musk said on X, formerly known as Twitter, he would ask President Donald Trump about a proposal for a “DOGE Dividend” that would give taxpayers a refund check of $5,000 funded by the savings from his Department of Government Efficiency.”
- Either he may be an idiot.
- Or we know nothing about all numbers.
- Or he knows there is no gold at Fort Knox.
- Or the value of dollar will go to almost nothing.
- Or he doesn’t know the math.
- Or Trump threatened him that he will shut down Tesla (finally!).
Let’s just trust Musk for a second. Not smart move, but give him a chance.
USA is in debt of $36,220,000,000,000, that’s 36 trillion dollars. If we stop paying our debt, we will have no shoes, batteries, food, software, hardware, nothing. We make nothing, we import everything.
We spend $6,750,000,000,000 per year as a country and we collect $4,920,000,000,000 in revenues. So we have annual deficit of $1.83 trillion dollars. Trillion has 12 zeros …
His proposal may assume that every person gets $5,000, we have 340,000,000 people, so the total would be $1.7 trillion for this refund. But give idiot a break, he thinks only taxpayers get it, so 165 million people get $5,000 for a total of $825 billion.
After that our national deficit would rise from $1.83 billion to $2.655 trillion. Unless he can save a few trillions somewhere. If he can’t find a few spare trillions, our national debt will rise from $36.2 trillion to $38.8 trillion. But everyone will have $5,000 cash worth almost nothing.
So in summary, our country owes $36.2 trillion. Musk has a bright idea and he wants to print about trillion and give it to all people. But at the same time he proposes to cut our spending and eventually get rid of our debt. It might be a miracle just like his crappy Tesla. We will need no roads or schools or military (that would be great) or health or social security or government …
If they asked me and about 340 million others what to cut to sort out our budget, start with military and stop calling it defense, we only attack. We have bases in 60 countries (officially). It is officially $850 billion per year, it is probably more and if we let half of the “employees” go and get some real job, I bet we could save $2 trillion. Good start. We won’t need to buy and pay for all those stupid weapons, air force airplanes, rockets, bombs, submarines, ships – shave that budget to zero and work to negotiate peace everywhere.
If they want to play with stuff like gold at Fort Knox, get it done over the weekend. The gold is either there or it is not. It is supposed to be about 10 million pounds so we should know very quickly if it’s there. If it is not, country goes down, Treasury is bankrupt, nobody will loan us money, etc, so no fooling with these numbers. And no sending of fake $5,000 to everyone.
This is the idiocy of the highest caliber or massive attempt for clever lie. It sounds interesting, but maybe in 2nd grade at school. They are not telling us everything or they really are idiots. Or they assume that Americans are idiots and that’s where they are wrong.
