Reduction Of Human Population Size

It is happening now and it will keep happening for some time. At certain point the different numbers of old people and young people should stabilize and eventually change and then the total population on this planet may start rising again. The primary reason it is happening and will keep happening is that young people wait much longer to establish family and have children or they choose not to have any while older people live longer. And life is more comfortable so the choice of many young people to avoid having children is often the result of having a good life and desire not to change it.

Reasons Of Depopulation

• fertility rate is falling
  
• women have other options than to be dependent on men
• in 1950, women were having an average number of 4.7 children, today it is about 2.1 children
  
• more women in education and at work
  
• more child-birth protection chemicals
  
• more lazy people = less families decide to have children
  
• we are running out of young people
  
• more people shame others for having children or too many children
  
• infection diseases become more deadly because we can handle the most normal diseases - those new showing up are therefore more dangerous
  
• war(s) are more effective
  
• famine, hunger - more difficult to solve when more people are older and less inventive and efficient
  
• low birth rates from all possible reasons
  
• low birth rate may also be caused
  
  • by better education
    
  • better life conditions
    
  • more laziness
    
• high mortality, also because illnesses become more dangerous
  
• medication is expected to always function and win, so when new disease appears and we don't have proper medications yet, we are more likely to risk which makes medications less effective and even dangerous

Cycling can be great!

Positive Effects

• seems to be great for the environment, less people will cause less pollution, except more older people than young people may result in different outcome

Negative Effects

• rise in dependency ratio
• end of life care crisis
  
• more decisions to end the life, suicide
  
• decline in innovation science due to less young people
